On early Verithins, upto mid 1963, there is sometimes a body date stamped within the body cavity.
This suggests the date that the body was assembled.

Here's a picture of my 1963 Verithin serial number 1549 showing the area that a number may be found.
Pictures also of the body date, including a couple of pictures that have been "flipped" using computer software.

The Sterio Verithin

Some probablies!!

Probably introduced into the catalogue in the second half of 1963.

Probably made in small batches of maybe 10 guitars, or on demand from Selmer.

Recorded serial numbers on this site are:

1813
1814
1821

1946
1948

2024
2031

2494 The only left handed sterio that I'm aware of

3392

3661
3662
3663

3992 [the last recorded Verithin (Hofner list of numbers)]

There is one from probably 1964 with no serial.

1187 is a Verithin De Lux '66 and the only sterio version recorded.

There is a wiring diagram in the circuit diagrams section.
