1960 Verithins

Where it all started

Hofner's answer to the Gibson 335!
Twin body cutaways and a "very thin" body, only 1.25" or 30mm
Introduced in 1960 with Venetian cutaways.
Most were finished in a rich cherry-red lacquer, however, the very first examples
had either a russet mahogany or blonde finish.

Serial number range 201-350.

1960 HOFNER VERITHIN

Geoff My son found it in USA and it has had minor refurbishment with replacement of pot 501 which may have come from a Beatle Bass of similar period.
This guitar was bought in Germany and brought to USA and played by the previous owner who is now deceased.
It was in a closet for many years until sold by his son who was not a player. My son bought it and brought it back to UK as a 71st birthday present.

Body stamp from inside guitar 28 Okt 1960 The pot codes 260 and 501
