Verithin 65-3

Originally described as model 4575 guitars, I now believe that they should be known as Verithin 65 models. The reasoning behind this is: As far as I know and can find out, the only guitars produced by Hofner that had the type of label inside these guitars was produced for the Selmer company. All the Selmer guitars had names, except for the Florentine version of the standard Verithin, which is refered to as a '66. I believe that these guitars should be known as Verithin 65-3.

MID 60's HOFNER MODEL 65-3

A red finish and fitted with the standard Hofner Lyre tailpiece. It has the Selmer style body label on which is typed the model name "Model 65-3" and the serial # 118.
It would therefore appear that Selmer sold a small number of three pickup Verithins in 1964/1965. This is the earliest serial number on my records.
Pots are dated 414, so October 1964
